This Year's Model Updates:

The power rear hatch is now standard on all models, as is wood and leather trim for the shift knob and steering wheel. The power passenger seat is upgraded from four-way to eight-way while the optional navigation system gets Bluetooth capability and voice actuated control. Last year's standard six-disc CD changer moves to the options list, making way for a standard single-CD setup.

Pros:
  • Well-appointed interior, rides more like a sedan than an SUV, loaded with high-tech features, solid reputation for reliability, excellent dealer service.
Cons:
  • Less powerful than some of its competitors, soft ride makes for merely adequate handling in corners, no third-row seat option.

  • Perfect allaround - 2005 Lexus RX 330

Typical Lexus -- no problems, blemishes or engineering faults. Dealer makes me want to come in to visit & have coffee. My german cars may be more fun but I know I will get where Im going and back with "no worry"

The navigation system makes this car really fun to drive... It was difficult to trust at first, but its absolutely awesome. I can always get home.... and its a great feeling.

  • Upgrade from ES 330 - 2005 Lexus RX 330

Weve had our eye on the RX since before we purchased the ES. We finally made the jump and couldnt be more happier about it. From the ease of stepping into a SUV (vs. a car) to the wonderful amenities such as the Navigation System & DVD entertainment system this vehicle is shear joy for the entire family. Our 8 year old daugther is looking forward to having it for her first car - well see about that.

  • Soooo Disappointed! - 2005 Lexus RX 330

This was the wrong choice for me. Driving the RX 330 for approximately two weeks I am so very frustrated. It is so uncomfortable for anyone over 55 to drive. I am 57, the seat cushions are too short - gives no support under my knees. I have to move my seat back to stretch my legs out to be comfortable and not be on top of the gas pedal the whole time, restraining my foot from laying too heavily on the gas doing so. Then I have to drive with my arms outstretched in an awkward uncomfortable manner because the steering wheel does not telescope out far enough. Told my hubby to hurry and get rid of it. I will opt for an 04 LS 430 instead now and the 10 RX 350 in four years at a used car price.

  • Its a Lexus LEMON - 2005 Lexus RX 330

Nothing but issues with the Transmission slip, jerks, jumps. My biggest complaint is that my Lexus RX 330 doesnt no what gear to use. Now it started to make that whinning noise. My lexus only has 74000 miles and its done. I am more that unhappy with Lexus so much money for a LEMON. Yes its been pampered all of its life and still give me problems. LEXUS NEVER AGAIN.

  • Looks nice at first but..... - 2005 Lexus RX 330

My 2004 RX330 had 20k miles and was LEXUS CERTIFIED. I owned the vehicle approx 70 day of this over 35 days were spent in the shop. The dealership was nice and offered to replace it with a new one "of course for MORE MONEY". I was assured that this was an "out of the ordinary situation" WRONG! My 2005 Rx330 still has a rattling sound in the rear drivers 1/4 panel at highway speeds (70+), after dealing with the dealer for several months I finally took some fishing string and wrapped it around the flemsy plastic clamp to stop the rattlle. It also has a nagging delay when accelerating from near stop (this is only on AWD vehicles). A 2WD loaner and it drove ok.

  • Art on Wheels - 2005 Lexus RX 330

I love this vehicle. It fits like a designer suit and is lots of fun to drive. Many SUVs drive like a truck. Not the Lexus RX 330. Its all about comfort and luxury. When I see it from a distance I have to pinch myself to realize that I really do own this piece of art on wheels. The RX 330 is one of the most beautiful vehicles on the road. I think Im in love.

Little space if any under fronts seats for minor storage. Backs do not lay flat. These, are the only drawbacks that I have encountered.
